Canandaigua Motorsports Park Ready To Roll With Original Pizza Logs
Born behind a city convenience store in June of 1986 by Finger Food
Products proprietor Robert F. Cordova, Original Pizza Logs of Niagara
Falls, N.Y. was named the "Official Food of Niagara Falls" in 1990 and
20 years later the now nationally recognized entity has emerged just as
popular at the Ontario County Fairgrounds.
“Bob has been an avid
supporter of area racing for a number of years, helping out a lot of
top teams as well as the tracks they compete,” noted CMP Promoter
Jeremie Corcoran, now anxiously awaiting opening day in Canandaigua just
two months away. “We’re glad to have him back to help launch our new
era at the ‘Land of Legends’ and continue to provide our fans with some
fun food on race night.”
The mighty Big-Blocks roll off the line
Sat. April 9 as part of the 48th season-opener alongside a full program
of Sportsman Modified, Parts Plus Stock Car and Rochester Steel Pure
Stock action. Just one week later the first special of the year arrives
with Big-Blocks contending in the inaugural Jan Corcoran Memorial
featuring a 64-lap main event with added cash on the line for the April
16 spring spectacular.
“Canandaigua was one of the tracks I used
to visit when starting out and I still like to pop in when I get the
chance,” said Cordova, who shared former Canandaigua regular Chad
Brachmann's 2001 Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Championship run in his first
year of team sponsorship. Successful chauffeurs sporting the Original
Pizza Logs colors this season at the Routes 5 & 20 oval are
Big-Block veteran Charlie Donk (9 wins) and six-time Stock Car points
champion Mike Welch (39 wins).
“The ‘Land of Legends’ is still
an important track so anything I can do to help the place is definitely
something worthwhile. It’s got a great history and some real good
racing, I’m certainly looking forward to getting back there and being a
part,” Cordova added.
No longer just a Western New York
phenomenon, Original Pizza Logs are now available in most states both
east and west of the Mississippi and in select markets as far away as
Alaska and Puerto Rico, with distribution centers in Japan, Australia
and South America on the drawing board. The signature product
---Pepperoni & Cheese Pizza Logs--- from day one has since expanded
to 10 flavorful varieties.
Today, Cordova remains as passionate
with Original Pizza Logs as he does in the pits, traveling whenever
possible to tracks from New York to North Carolina to appease his
appetite. Check out https://www.fingerfoodproducts.com to view the
complete line of specialty items available for direct order.
